NAPLES - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Cherie Troglia Reddy (nee Warthen), who died peacefully at home in Naples, Florida, in her sleep the evening of September 3rd alongside her husband, Dr.  Sam Reddy. Cherie was born and raised in Newark, Ohio, on February 28, 1927, the oldest of two daughters of Carl and Edith Warthen. She graduated from Newark High School in 1944 and then attended the Columbus School of Design.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Louis David Troglia (married 45 years) and sister, Jane Warthen Parente.

She is survived by her husband Dr. Sam Reddy, with whom she just celebrated 29 blissful years of marriage; daughters Monique Rub (nee Troglia), Michelle Foley (nee Troglia) step-daughter Christine Reddy; four grandchildren, Danielle Rub, Brent Rub, Joeseph Foley and Kyle Foley: and two great grand twins, Luca and Owen Foley.

Cherie was the consummate hostess, entertainer and friend to all. She was active in Garden Clubs, Girl Scouts, Women’s Clubs and Episcopal Church Groups.  She was an interior designer and a gourmet cook who enjoyed golf and gardening. Always bejeweled and dressed to the nines, style and grace defined her for nearly a century.

Celebrations of life services will be held at Saint Monica’s Episcopal Church in Naples, Florida, in November, and at Grace Episcopal Church in Hinsdale, IL, in December.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in Cherie’s name.
